Ready.gov How To Prepare For A Hurricane Guide Download

Each year hurricanes cause billions of dollars worth of damage here in the United States. Entire towns have been wiped off the map and lives have been ripped apart as a result of these violent winds and rains. Since hurricanes are considered to be an act of God, there is really nothing we can do to avoid them. That  being said, there are things that we can do to prepare for them before they come so that we can minimize the impact of these treacherous storms on our lives and our property.

Ready.gov has put together a number of resources to help prepare you for hurricanes.  I found the How to Prepare For A Hurricane Guide very insightful and I believe it can be an effective tool for families to help minimize the impact of a hurricane on them and their immediate surroundings.  My grandmother used to tell me as a child to stay ready so that I would not have to get ready. I urge you to visit Ready.gov today and download the Prepare For a Hurricane Guide so that your family can be prepared if and when a hurricane comes to your city. Remember, being prepared in advance can save lives.
